Because I'll miss this someday

Imagine how wonderful videos like this will be to look back on when the kids are all grown up! Just to hear their little voices singing sweet little songs! So it's been my quest to capture these moments before they're gone!

"Jesus Loves Me"

"ABC Song"

Now I need to get more of Hannah talking and doing her thang. I had a cute one but accidentally deleted it on the camera. So we'll try again with something else!

Tummy time.

I love this first one a lot
...but this second one really captures Carter's personality.

What a blessing!

223 pictures later!

And I finally got an okay picture of Hannah. Holy cow is trying to get a framer of a 2yr old HARD! Apparently "look at me!" means NOTHING. I couldn't get her to look at me, let alone smile. And when I tried to just photograph her while she was doing stuff, she'd get near things I didn't want in the picture or the lighting was bad (because when it's sunny every direction you move totally changes the lighting) or she was just making a weird face. Not my happiest moment. I turn into a monster sometimes when trying to get a picture. Really. It's not cool. But here we are. 2 pictures that made it worth it are keepers. Hopefully one will work for a new picture in the office.

Now for a new family picture so I can change my blog header... I've got something in mind, just waiting for a NOT sunny day so we don't have to worry about face shadows or squinty eyes.

Puddle Jumping!

A week or two ago I picked up some umbrellas for the kids at our outlet mall here. And finally yesterday we had some rain that didn't have the crazy winds that usually come with it, so I let the kids outside. We don't rain boots yet, so Crocs are the next best thing! Just as Hannah doesn't like playing in snow, she also wasn't liking the rain so much. But here's one cute picture of her and her umbrella.
And then there's Eli...He was loving it so muchit made my heart smile in a big way.

shuffling through the waterperfect smile

And then he went inside, got ready for bed in cozy, dry jammies.

Child Prodigy

Eli likes to pretend playing a violin, with wooden spoons or more often with these train pieces. It's funny because he really hasn't had much exposure to violins in the first place, but we all know, it only takes once! These same train pieces also get used as drum sticks, and we've seen before here how good he is at the French horn. So what do you think it'll be? Strings, percussion, or brass??

Carter--3 months!

3 months old already! Can you believe it???

Notes:
* No longer sleeps swaddled. Not because he didn't like it but because somehow one night in my sleepy state of mind and blind vision I think Carter ended up on his belly and because he was swaddled his arms were all bound tight. It scared the bajeebies out of me and I stopped using the swaddle cold turkey, even though it worked sooo well! I was so thankful his cradle was right next to me and I could hear him fussing around.
* He smiles and coos all the time. And C-RIES if you're not paying enough attention to him. Otherwise he's a fairly happy little fellow.
* Sits in the Bumbo seat now.
* Still mostly naps in the bouncy seat in the office, but can sleep laying down (I just had quit when Kevin went on nights last week and was sleeping in the room during day)
* He sleeps great long naps when we're out and about but pretty short naps when we're just here at home.
* Carter sleeps in his cradle the first half of night then after he's fed (around 2:30am??) most of the time he ends up staying there right next to me. But, so that I can get up before the kids, and NOT wake Carter trying to do so, I'm trying to actually sit up in the night to feed Carter again so that I can lay him back in his cradle. He then sleeps until about 6am for feeding part 2 and then back to sleep until about 7am.
* Actually starting to take interest in toys, like watching the lights on his jungle gym or bouncy seat. But still not yet reaching for toys.
* When he's tired or starting to get hungry he likes to lick all over his hands.
* He's shifting into more of a 3-4 hr feeding schedule during the day.
* Gaining weight well and getting very chunky! So cute!

Easter 2010

I know Easter seems like forever ago, but I don't want it to completely pass by without having been documented. So here it is!

First Easter morning started with a breakfast at church, just me and the kids, but the kids ended up being GREAT! Carter slept the WHOLE time--from when we got to church, through breakfast, through the short message following, through church, and almost all the way home!
Easter week I was feeling weird that it was really the holiday since Kevin was going to be working the whole weekend and it's just not that exciting to celebrate it with just me and the kids. So at somewhat the last minute my family decided to come for the afternoon! My parents and Paul and Holly! As soon as the kids were up from naps we had an Easter egg hunt. Then since our dining room is out of commission right now we had a picnic lunch outside on our porch instead, followed by a little bit of Bocce ball before it was time for them to head off. Fun day!!

4-yr old photoshoot

I've taken so many pictures of Carter these days, I figured it was about time to get some good updated pictures of the older two. So here's Eli. I love how some of these turned out!haha, when I crouched down to take the picture, Eli crouched down too. It was cute and I actually like how it looks!will probably use this one for his frame in the officethis is one of my favorites

Almost 3 months!

Love these new ones I got of Carter today! I think I'm going to pick one of these to print 8x10 and put in his frame in the office! The lighting was great so I really didn't do much editing except cropping. The last two are my favorite, but the first one's pretty cute too. Heck, they're all cute! =)

My little social butterfly

Carter seems more social than I remember the other two being. If you leave him on the couch or in the bouncy seat for any amount of time, he'll start fussing around until you come over and smile and talk at him, and then he just lights up with huge smiles and coos. It's so sweet! Can't wait to see what he's like as he grows up!

How can you not just want to kiss all over that cute face?
