Happy 1st Birthday, Hannah!!

Wow, I cannot even believe how fast this year has gone! My little baby girl is all grown up! Okay, so she's still just one year old and has much to learn, BUT still the time goes waay too fast! Hannah Elizabeth is such a wonderful part of our family. One word alone describes her personality so well: SWEET. She is so gentle and has a soft little voice. Her smile will literally melt your heart, and the way she reaches out to you to say hello. Oh my goodness... Our little Valentine. =)

I think back to exactly one year ago. What a crazy day that was with her surprise home delivery (read birth story HERE) and the exciting year that has followed. It was quite an adjustment going from one child to two. It probably took me a good four months to finally get my act together and some order back in life, and now I can't imagine it any other way! It has been one of my greatest joys to see the children grow up together and become friends. (more on that) Our home is truly filled with sooo much LOVE for these beautiful gifts from God!

Hannah's 12-month update:
* Top two teeth came through with a third one close behind!
* We're down to only 2 nursings a day. (breakfast and dinner) Not sure how much longer those will last because those top teeth HURT!
* And BIG ONE... she sleeps through the night!! 8pm-7:30am!
* She all of a sudden HATES bath time. She gets excited when the water is turned out and is trying to climb into the tub, but then as soon something "sets her off" all she wants is out and will try to climb out! I guess it started when she kept trying to stand up in the tub, and when we'd keep sitting her back down she'd get MA-AD! Well, now I guess those episodes are in her head and it doesn't take much of anything before she's trying bail out! Frustrating but I know/hope it's just a phase. In the meantime, we may be reverting to the infant tub.
* She's becoming more of a picky eater. Also a frustrating phase but I won't let her win.
* She moved into a big-girl car seat, still rear-facing though. See THIS POST.
* A new thing she's started is snuggling her head down on your shoulder when you pick her up. Or laying her head down on a pillow. I remember Eli doing this at this exact same age. VERY cute.
* She's 20 lbs 7 oz and 29 inches long and in great health!

Birthday pictures coming soon!

I'd say go to the infant tub! Isaiah STILL LOVES that little tub! When I put him in the big one with all the bubbles, he got so scared (or something) and REFUSED to take a bath in the big tub until just a few DAYS ago! He looks so funny, huge, and cute in the baby tub...but it worked for us for 3 months or so now...Maybe that would help Hannah too!
